Mean Green Hot Sauce

Owner Saleh Hamshari finally brings his carefully prepared Mean Green Hot Sauce to the jonesing public.

The entrepreneur perfected this recipe as an exclamation point (!) to his award-winning chicken, inside his first restaurant “Rotisseria” in Baltimore, Maryland. Minneapolis food fans know him from his other Rotisseria locations, one in Uptown and one in East Minneapolis. Most recently, the Mean Green punctuated his chicken, gyros and other specialties for a loyal following at “The Galley” at the Cottagewood Store. Hamshari learned to cook in Florence, Italy, while getting his architecture degree in retail and restaurant design. It was also in Florence that he met his wife Barbara Belknap, a graphic designer and artist. They now live in Minnetonka with their two boys, Zachary, 11, and Sam, 9. The Hamsharis hope to spice up the lives of foodies everywhere, one dash of Mean Green at a time.
